Join us at the Whidbey Institute on Saturday, April 12th for a special talk by Kathleen Dean Moore on the ethics of climate change: **RED SKY AT MORNING: Ethics and the Climate Crisis** Global warming is a scientific and political issue, but it is fundamentally a moral issue and it calls for a moral response. Come hear author and activist Kathleen Dean Moore speak about our responsibility to take urgent action. Why do we have a moral obligation to stop fossil fuels? How are we doing to get it done? Kathleen is a stirring speaker and a wonderful person – one of our heroes. See her interview last year in Sun Magazine to get a flavor for her brave and heartfelt spirit of engagement. The link to that interview is here:http://thesunmagazine.org/issues/444/if_your_house_is_on_fire The Northwest is positioned at the epicenter of a burgeoning climate movement nationwide, and I know you will find Kathleen’s talk to be inspiring and provocative in just the ways that we need at this pivotal time in our history. This event offers you a great chance also to tap into the energy and substance of our 2nd annual climate conference – an invitational gathering of 75 top climate leaders from across the Northwest – which will have just concluded. Tickets for the Saturday evening session are just $10 ($5 for youth and young adults, 26 and under), and can be purchased online in advance or at the door. Seats are filling up fast, so we do recommend purchasing advanced tickets online. (See “Tickets” above). If you have questions, please contact Dan Mahle: email@example.com Thanks and see you on April 12th! -Cascadia Climate Collaborative
