Former Secretary of the Treasury Timothy F. Geithner has released a comprehensive account of the financial crisis of 2008 and his observations on the blending of politics and economics. Stress Test: Reflections on Financial Crises -- named for the great "stress test of our nation" -- depicts the government's attempts to save the U.S. from a global financial crisis, despite dwindling support from the American people. Readers will be taken behind the scenes to "get a sense of what it was like in the fire" during this chaotic time in history. His memoir reveals the untold story of political decision-making at the top, how his personal history influenced his actions, and what governments can do to stop history from repeating itself. Geithner currently serves as President of the private equity firm Warburg Pincus. Presented by: Seattle Arts & Lectures. Tickets: $40; includes one pre-signed copy of the book. Doors open: 6:00 p.m. Learn more: About Geithner. READ MORE: http://www.townhallseattle.org/seattle-arts-lectures-presentsan-evening-with-timothy-f-geithner/
