Join CAGJ and The Seattle Labor Chorus for a fun and inspiring evening of movement story-telling and songs to celebrate our collective struggles for justice! We are honored to share the evening with local farmers/fisherfolk and our allies: *Got Green?, led by young adults and people of color, promoting the movement for an equitable, green economy to fight poverty and global warming *Community to Community Development, a place based, women-led grassroots organization working for a just society and healthy communities *Familias Unidas por la Justicia, farmworkers demanding fairness from Sakuma Bros. Farms in Skagit Valley *Our Walmart, workers demanding respect from the Walmart corporation This event is part of MayWorks, an annual celebration of workers’ culture. Inspired by the Canadian labor movement, MayWorks was launched in 2011 at the Washington State Labor Council Convention. The Seattle Labor Chorus is the musical voice of labor in Seattle.
