Join us in June for a Greendrinks evening full of good things – Goodwill and all they have to offer plus learn a little bit more about our regular sweet treat provider, Snoqualmie Ice Cream! Thanks to Seattle Goodwill for both sponsoring and hosting this month! This non-profit, founded in 1923, works to eliminate barriers to opportunity and help people in need reach their fullest potential through the power of work. With Greendrinks in their new green building, we will get the chance to check out their job training center and see the style statements you can create from a Goodwill purchase! There will be a fashion show and you’ll also be able to take self-guided tours of their new LEED building. Also happing this month, Snoqualmie Ice Cream will share a bit about their incredible farm filled with green infrastructure and the ingredients that make it into their little tubs of heaven. Fremont Brewing Company will be serving drinks to accompany your exploration of the building, with sustenance provided by Chaco Canyon and Snoqulamie Ice Cream. Freewheel Carbon Free Cargo will once again deliver the Greendrinks goods to Goodwill – making sure we have everything for a good night without contributing carbon! Don’t forget to plan your own low-impact route to this month’s event using Metro Trip Planner: Thanks to our 2014 sponsors: Sierra Nevada Brewing Company, Fremont Brewing, Snoqualmie Ice Cream, Keeney’s Office Supply, Honest Tea, The Essential Baking Company, and Chaco Canyon Cafe! As always, we suggest a $5 donation at the door. Please help us reduce waste – even compostable waste – by bringing your own mug, chalice, champagne flute, and the like. Compostable cups will be available with the $5 donation. Interested in sponsoring? There are only a couple of months still available for 2014 – don’t miss out on this great opportunity to connect with Seattle’s environmental world! We’re also looking for vendors for the August Picnic and December Holiday Fair. Contact us at
