Portland native Cheryl Strayed's memoir Wild chronicles her journey of self-discovery on the Pacific Crest Trail -- 1,100 miles, three states, and 11 burned books later. After the death of her mother and without any training, the newly-divorced Strayed set out on the hike of a lifetime. Along the way, she met fellow travelers, found solace in novels (which she began burning to lighten her pack), and ultimately, healed herself in the process. A New York Times bestselling author, Strayed is also the author of Torch (2006), Tiny Beautiful Things (2012), and the popular advice column Dear Sugar. Presented by: Presented by Seattle Arts & Lectures, as part of its Literary/Arts Series. Tickets: Full season subscriptions are on sale now here. $15 general seating, $35 Patron, and $50 Grand Patron. Special student pricing also available with ID. Doors open: 6:30 p.m. Learn more: About SAL. READ MORE: http://www.townhallseattle.org/seattle-arts-lectures-presents-an-evening-with-cheryl-strayed/
